What are you making for Thanksgiving?

I know a lot of you are making dinner, but there are also quite a few visiting friends and relatives for Turkey Day. Are you bringing a dish? If you are cooking at home what's on your menu? Here's what we decided on...

The Beachy Menu:

Roasted 'Lil Butterball Turkey - Call it lurkey. It's fun!
Giblet Gravy - I've never made this. Wish me luck!
Oyster & Mushroom Dressing - So fabulous. I'll be licking the casserole dish
Baked Potatoes - Cutting calories from mashed
Braised Green Beans with Chopped Pecans - A new creation of mine
Corn on the Cob - Since we both grew up in corn country this is a must!
Whole Cranberry Sauce - Canned - I LOVE IT!
Turtle Pumpkin Pie - A recipe from the coupon section of the newspaper. Looks fantastic. I'll share the recipe later today!

What do you think? Mr. Beachy has to work for part of the day so I'll spend the morning cooking with the windows all wide open and the parade on TV. Sounds like heaven to me! I can't wait!

Oh my goodness! It all sounds so delicious :) May I come? :)

Just curious...do you leave the canned Cranberry Sauce in the shape of a can? I think it tastes so much better this way...hehe.

I saw that recipe and thought it looked/sounded amazing. Can't wait to hear your verdict.

The best part of my Thanksgiving Dinner was the Ocean Spray Cranberry Sauce - not whole - just pure can shaped jelly goodness.

I don't leave it in the shape of the can because I use the whole berry version so it really never comes out that way. I've actually never had the jellied kind before! I really should dress it up and make it my own but its so good and so little effort! :)

Reservations.

HAH - jk. Sort of - reservations at the 3 families worth of dining we'll taking on (two on my side, one on his). Our (very southern) families always have way too much as it is, so I'll just be bringing a healthy appetite as my cooking is no where on par with the moms in our families yet.
