Meet my new neighbors

I took these pictures about an hour ago right outside our new place. These birds are Sand Hill Cranes. Aren't they pretty?

I love the sand cranes! I'm in central florida and we love them here. :)

Welcome to Florida!!! I'm totally impressed that you can up and move. I wish I could be so brave.

so glad you made it there safely. Be careful not to feed those birdies too much or you'll have permanent guests and a lot of poop. Still, it must be fun living someone's vacation.

Enjoy and update!

Florida wildlife is great near the water, ocean or lake. We live off a lake & through the spring & summer I've watched baby ducks grow up, Tatter the gator grow up too (he's now about 3 feet long) & saved a few soft shelled turtles. I love it here. I'm sure you will too!

They are all over my neighborhood too. I've actually blogged about them recently. One comes by everyday. I've named him Frasier...Frasier Crane
